The story behind the project
He started with conventional construction and finished with a ceramic house
9 metres long and 6 metres wide: a smaller family home or weekend cottage with a minimal footprint. The ground floor has an open-plan living room and kitchen and a utility room with a toilet or small bathroom. Upstairs are 2 to 3 bedrooms and the main bathroom. The client initially chose conventional construction but reconsidered after the foundation slab was completed. Flexible solutions, transparent pricing, fast construction and professional communication allowed him to continue with a prefabricated ceramic house, a decision with which he is now completely satisfied.
I would like to add my own experience with Ceramic Houses from Lučenec to the other testimonials. My decision to choose a ceramic house was not straightforward. At the beginning, I requested several quotes, including one for a ceramic house. Although it was among the best, I let those around me influence me and chose conventional construction. As I work abroad and was largely discussing and directing the build remotely, I decided to stop the conventional build after the foundation slab had been completed. I contacted Ceramic Houses again, even though a floating raft foundation is recommended for ceramic houses and mine was a conventional slab with strip foundations. I expected it might no longer be possible, but I tried. The opposite was true. Excellent communication with the head of the sales department, her accommodating attitude and real willingness to resolve any potential problems convinced me to continue with a ceramic house. Things then moved quickly: signing the agreement for a ceramic house at completion Stage I, adapting the design to ceramic construction (which increased my usable interior space thanks to thinner external walls with thermal insulation comparable to conventional construction) and the build itself. Add to that excellent communication with the technical department and construction by a well-coordinated, experienced crew. The result was a Stage I ceramic house standing on my plot in a short time. To sum up why I chose a ceramic house: transparent construction, with an agreed price that does not change and is paid in stages after the work is completed; the speed of construction; and, last but not least, the building material itself. The ceramic panels are thinner yet provide excellent thermal insulation, with built-in provisions for electrical wiring and a surface finish that saves money when completing the house.
