The story behind the project
Privacy towards the garden, a garage alongside and a tailored layout
An adapted version of Design No. 35 from our catalogue. In addition to minor changes to the three-bedroom layout, a garage is attached to the house along a shared wall. The terrace and windows face the garden, which is screened from the road by the full length of the house. The client chose a ceramic house for its thermal insulation, pleasant indoor climate and the required fire resistance of the wall shared with the neighbouring house. He appreciates the combination of prefabricated construction benefits and the qualities of solid ceramic material.
I chose a ceramic house for its good thermal insulation. It is very pleasant inside, retains heat beautifully and the material still breathes. As the house shares a wall with a neighbour, it was also important to me that the ceramic wall meets the fire-resistance standard. A ceramic house therefore combines the advantages of a prefabricated home with the stability and protection of solid building materials.
